My favorite undertaking of late is my home office. Things are in full swing around here! #OhMyAchingBack

I do a lot of my real estate work from home. It's important that I have a designated space to work and plan. A quiet place so I can be productive.
Years ago the original owners of our home constructed a detached building that they used as a beauty shop. Sometime after that other owners used it for a variety of uses.
As you can see from the photos, we have a lot of work to do, and we are just getting started.
It's horrible! The walls, flooring.....This is definitely going to be a huge undertaking, but I'm so excited to stay at it and turn it into a professional paradise.
The first thing we need to do is get these cabinets down. Trust me....they are hanging on the wall with multiple screws and years of dried paint.

Some of the screws came out. Others needed a little more prodding, and had to be drilled out. Still it hardly wanted to budge. To take ourselves out of harms way we used straps to pull down the huge cabinet. Still.......nothing.
Safety First
Enter: the crowbar. After prying and prying, we could see progress.
Eventually, with one last big hee ho, the cabinet came tumbling down. Come to find out there was ONE screw left that had been painted over and we over looked it. And as all good, strong men do, my husband saw fit to pose on top of the mountain of fallen wood.
And the cabinets came tumbling down!
Stay tuned as we continue to update on our work in progress. I promise you are going to love the color scheme. I'll give you a hint.....it involves one of my favorite color schemes "misty aqua" from Lowe's.
